Greetings from the northeast! Autumn color is fantastic, wherever it is.

So much awful stuff being done by Republicans in power—& my father has had 2 recent falls & hospital visits, so my antidote this evening was homemade GF DF banana pancakes with fresh bluebs I picked yesterday at an organic farm. Many repeated dollops of Cocojun vanilla yogurt for full luxury.

Regular unleaded: $3.20/gallon. The least expensive gas available. Took this photo the other day.

Happy Birthday, Danielle!
May your day (& year) have many bright spots, like the flourescent microscopy that you share generously with us!
Cell-phone photo. I send valentine's day cards each year, and this was this year's (w silly poem to boot).

This clematis barely bloomed last year (only 2-3 flowers VERY late in the season), after years of abundant blooming. But it’s baaack! And I just love it.

Last tulips. First poppy. Our neighbors gave us some of their poppies when we first moved in about 30 years ago. They had to move bc one of them had Parkinson’s, & is no longer alive, but the poppies unfurling feels full of the life & friendship we shared here with them for 25 years.

Had an appt this morning at local hospital. I was the only person wearing a mask. Usually I see one or two or three others in hosp or grocery store.

Stood in a gentle, misty rain midday at our weekly “Hands Off” protest, and then was entranced later in the afternoon, on my dog walk, with the raindrops still nestled on all the small, low leaves.

A friend sent this to me this morning re #mothersday, and I just really liked it, and she gave me permission to share it. This isn't a poem, just a musing, but she is a wonderful poet, and you can see a few of her poems at her website: alisonprine.com

Friend who lives two blocks from me takes the BEST photos of flowers in my yard.
300+ tulips are beginning to bloom in three relatively small garden beds bc in the fall It’s helpful to have reasons to live till spring.
Have to plant every fall bc otherwise no room 4 zinnias etc in the summer. 1/2

They can be.
This (Rock, Paper, Scissors discussion) made me remember one of the best images I've ever seen. It just speaks to my sense of humor in a way I still cannot articulate. But this never fails to amuse me & cheer me. Who thought of this? I thank them.

Gorgeous!
I had two of these, and both used to bloom like crazy. Now I’m down to 1 that only made a few flowers last year. Am going to give it TLC & whatever food it wants & hope for the best. Photos are from the good years.

It was the most spectacular wildflower day in the woods today.
Went there for a walk after our local weekly “hands off” rally.

Yes.
Longtime good friends who moved to Cape Cod used to have their guest room painted this color, and I loved staying there. Would walk into blue sea & sky, then come home to read/nap/sleep in a blue room. (I’m leaving out all the eating between those things). 😊

Yes, I’m sure that’s the extended version. 😊
Gorgeous photo! Here’s what popped up at my place today.

Total sweetheart… unless you’re a squirrel. Just looked over, and I see she has snuggled in one of her “babies/stuffies” (an old, dirty favorite) and gotten even more relaxed somehow.
