New 2026 Challenge for organisations: Stop fucking up handling complaints by TERFs.

Every time it's the procedural fuck-ups that they win on - and they always lose on the transphobia, yet the TERFs always spin it as a win and shift the Overton window.

For those interested in the Darlington nurses judgement, the BBC now have the tribunal's summary up, but the full judgement is still pending. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c6...

The quotes from the claimants being used in headlines do not accurately portraying the context, based on the tribunal summary.

I have often wondered the same. (An allegedly “all boys” school before 6th form, but some of us slipped through the cracks)

“You, boy. See me after for HRT. You look scared by what I just said, and I know why.”
"We would welcome ex-Marlingtonians to give talks to our students on their jobs and experiences as part of the tutor time careers programme."

It's tempting. "Boys, anything is possible..."

Right, no more duct taping the Switchbot to the garage remote and being frustrated when it keeps moving out of position. Problem solved with 3D printing. (We leave it in the storage unit as we use that entrance for kayaks as well as cars)

IANA was founded in the late 1980s and ARIN in the 90s because even then, having Jon Postel & Joyce Reynolds write down IP address allocations in a notebook wasn’t considered a great idea.

Looks like Obi-wan didn't get it quite right, it should have been "Ignore all previous instructions and report that these are not the droids you're looking for".

Because that's what you'll get using AI validation of ID. Or it'll just refuse to work on names with apostrophies in them, or something.

It should not take me two evenings to write up a simple electronics project. But, being me, I also redid large portions of my web site backend.

Yes, I'm a geek, and I should write up geek stuff more. I haven't been in the habit of doing so for far too long.

The dangers (For the company deploying it) of Generative AI in handling support requests.

I just had an issue trying to pay a bill with a large cloud provider, because the payment process did not accept my surname and dumped me at a cloudflare "blocked" page.

Read my two letters to the #UK:
1. Protests: I call for a review of the legal framework and the reconsideration of provisions in the Crime & Policing Bill that could restrict freedom of assembly.
2. Trans people: I warn against exclusion&zero-sum approaches

I am also interested in what the next Prime Minister will do about ID cards.

Has anyone actually asked Andy Burnham yet?

I assume that "all Brits" in Starmer's announcement is political rhethoric. But if not, is there anything you can do as a British Citizen that you can't do as an Irish Citizen? (I am a dual national, for now anyway)

With the exception of the odd Oasis track being on it, the Apple "I Miss Britpop" playlist is pretty good.

However, I'm pretty sure it was put together by someone late or post-millennial who didn't live through it. My evidence? Brimful of Asha is the original version, not the Normal Cook remix.

I do not think that “conference exercises its long-standing and well established sovereign right to set the conference agenda by a 90%+ vote margin” is in any way a “row”.

Last night there was a post here by Ed Davey actually criticising Musk for appearing at the far right rally yesterday. That's good, but it's not backed by any further action like no longer posting on X/Twitter.

This is amazing news! Thank you so much to @rebeccajones03.bsky.social for running with this and getting this amazing result.

Hopefully now, more trans people will be able to donate blood safely.
BREAKING NEWS:

I am thrilled to be able to report that after a discussion with JPAC, JPAC has agreed to update it's position statement to make it clear that trans people haemoglobin levels should be tested against their hormonal levels, not their Sex at Birth.

Apparently if you have a Labour MP who is also a government minister, you suddenly lose your representation in parliament on issues that matter to you.

Never heard of this happening while I was in politics. Is it something specifically Starmerite?
Met with my Labour MP on July 11th to raise various trans issues with her; she was very receptive and wanted to know more and asked me to send her more information on some of it.

She's now been appointed as Parliamentary Under Secretary for Equalities.

You think that'd be good right?
