Totally agree with this. Flying a person to a third country that they may never have been to, directly into a prison where they are going to be forced to do hard labor, is not a deportation; it's something else entirely.
@washingtonpost.com They were not DEPORTED. Deported means sending them back to their country of origin. These people were sent to a maximum security prison in El Salvador, without any due process or any analysis as to whether they feared harm in El Salvador!
In America, EVERYONE has a RIGHT to due process - regardless of immigration status. It’s fundamental to our Constitution.

Deporting hundreds of people in secret by invoking a wartime proclamation is a blatant abuse of power by President Trump.

It appears the Trump Admin is shutting down the Dept of Education's International and Foreign Language Education unit, which funds and administers University and graduate foreign language study throughout the country and overseas. If true, an act of national sabotage. www.ed.gov/about/ed-off...

Between this and the Columbia stuff I hope everyone understands that when you compromise with fascists the result is the same.

The only difference in the end is, they got you to contribute to the project of your own annihilation
So am I understanding correctly that the GOP threatened to defund DC of its own money if they didn't tear up the BLM thing

And then DC tore up the BLM thing

And now the GOP is defunding them anyway

It should terrify everyone that a green card holder was black bagged and disappeared to Louisiana simply for having opinions this administration dislikes. They're building the prisons and camps to do it to citizens. The time to stand up to this is now.
Until last night, the ICE detainee locator stated Khalil was at Elizabeth, NJ—even though his wife had been unable to find him there yesterday. This morning, his location has been updated to Jena — a very remote, GEO group-run facility in the middle of rural Louisiana.

The campaign against trans rights is also about stripping away everyone’s protections against discrimination, reviving, as Douglass put it “the moral blindness” of those who “persuade themselves that they are safe, though the rights of others may be struck down.”

Worth noting that McConnell refusing to whip votes to convict Trump at his impeachment trial (or vote himself to convict) is *why* we’re now in a position where Hegseth is the Defense Secretary. If McConnell is looking for the person at fault, he might want to consult a mirror.

y'all. you do not need to keep reposting that man doing the nazi salute.

i don't want to see it.

i suspect the folks whose families were harmed by the nazis don't want to see it.

we know he did it, it serves no purpose to post it besides causing people distress and pain.
