I would like to take this opportunity to get on the record and apologize: I had complained about how every single thing at the grocery store now costs five dollars more than it used to, but I had not seen the latest data from DoorDash's State of Local Commerce report, which disproves that.
At some point embarrassment MUST come

I will for sure not be watching ESPN anymore after they decided to allow Trump to spew lies and partisan bullshit on-air. I would suggest others do the same.

ESPN gave Trump a platform to spew lie after lie on Pat McAfee's show with no pushback

(note that McAfee himself acknowledges at the end of this clip he knows nothing about politics and isn't equipped for this)

Pat McAfee was already a gigantic dolt so you shouldn't have been watching anyway. But if you for some reason are, now is a good time to stop.
Trump to Pat McAfee: "I'm only joining you because I hear you say such nice things about me. When people say nice about me, I join. When they don't say nice about me, I take a pass."

"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."

I can't wait for Star Wars movie marketing to come back full force with Mando and Grogu.

Yeah that report made me scratch my head. I never got the sense that any of the different Bond eras were connected. Just ignore what happened in the last one and move on. Or have it be set in the years before No Time to Die if you're that concerned about it.
Considering the entire history of James Bond, this whole “he’s dead, how do we bring him back” thing feels like the biggest non-issue possible. Like, really?

This was all possible with Obamacare. DO NOT trust anything the media tells you anymore. They are catering to his obvious lying.
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

I don’t think there’s a show that uses music as well as Stranger Things.

Yeah, that’s what Americans want: to spend more time arguing with health insurance companies for fairer prices.
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Yeah. And your colleagues let them win. I’ll take this message, all of which I in principle agree with by the way, more seriously if you call for new leadership because Schumer and Durbin ain’t it.
No one’s feelings are wrong. That’s not my point. We’re in a real battle, against a corrupt and malevolent foe, with huge stakes. We must win.

They must be done scrubbing Trump from the files.

I know this is an obvious and old point, but it still shocks me how quickly the culture of the GOP has come to defined by the absurd personality type of the "toad-licking, ass kissing alpha." Amazing that they've built an audience that finds such deportment appealing, rather than disqualifying.

They’ve had over a decade to come up with their own plan but, sure, they’ll come up with one in two months.
VAN SUSTEREN: Is the Republican healthcare solution going to go into effect at midnight on Dec. 31? Because people are gonna get sticker shock

Great job feeding into GOP talking points that the shutdown was on Democrats!
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"

You framed this as a fight to reduce the cost of healthcare. You failed to get that done. So don't act surprised that people are pissed.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Time for another round of "gullible or stupid"?
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

May not succeed? Even if by some miracle the Senate passes this bill, the House will assuredly not take it up. So yeah, it's going to fail.
Angus King: "This initial strategy didn't work. And now we have one. We're gonna have a guaranteed vote on the ACA, and it may not succeed. I grant that. But a reasonable chance -- 10, 20, 30% -- is a lot better than 0% which is where we were."
