This is well worth reading. "No, Elon Musk is not getting a trillion dollars from Tesla. It’s not happening. Not a real thing. I’m sorry."
I wrote about Elon's corny new stunt contract and why the media spent the last five days doing free PR work for him
Why Elon Musk Got the Most Ridiculous Pay Package in the History of Humanity
Did Tesla just make Musk the world’s first trillionaire? Almost certainly not. But that’s not what his colossal new deal is really about.

Last night on the ride, a guy in a tomato pie costume asked me which were the most successful and unsuccessful WNRs. I said something like, "I have no idea how to answer that question, every time we get a bunch of people together to ride bikes, it's a success"

10% of Meta's 2024 ad revenue came from outright frauds and scams; the platform shows consumers 15 billion ads for fraud and scams every single day. This doesn't even include agitprop and AI slop.

GO BIRDS, GO VOTE
Real talk: believe me when I say, I know it's far from reliably inspiring to participate in democracy in Philadelphia, but for real, go vote. Just go. The most important elections are for DA and to retain the PA Supreme Court justices. It matters.

It was a total joy to lead this ride in my D6 costume, which I made last year but didn't get to debut until last night. If there's anything I love more than people on bikes, it's people on bikes in costumes - it's such a fun mix of the practical, social, and absurd

Probably my favorite piece in the current issue of Harper's. Key takeaway: for good sleep, spend more time outside. Also fascinating: green light helps migraines, sleep.

I'd been a Spotify subscriber for 9 years, but I canceled my subscription this morning. These ICE recruitment ads are disgusting. Time to find a new streaming service or dig out my CDs. I won't pay a company that's promoting the secret police terrorizing my city and others across the US.
FYI if you have a Spotify membership, Indivisible is asking people to cancel until they stop running ICE recruitment ads. Instructions on how to do it here: www.youtube.com/shorts/TKp7c...

It’s absolutely insane to me that the people who live on this and surrounding blocks are fighting the city’s efforts to protect this bike lane with concrete. Like, my brain does not comprehend their reasoning.
Absolutely deadly behavior causing another crash on Spruce Street at 5th st early this morning. This is on the busiest bike lane in Philly with over 1,500 riders who use it daily.
