Kaia was the anchor to our pack and consistent light in an increasingly darker world.
Primary vet said she was healthy. Advanced tests revealed GI lymphoma. 💔

I've seen more coyotes wandering through my densely populated Los Angeles neighborhood in the last several years than I ever did growing up in the middle of a woodsy rural New England town. 🙃

PAs generally make minimum wage and have no union or organization to provide a safety net.
Certainly all of the assistants are unlikely to have enough saved up to cope with a sudden cancellation or pause, nor could they line up a rescue gig.

I know we keep focusing on Colbert and Kimmel as we should, but we also need to remember there are hundreds of people who work for these shows who also just lost their jobs because of this bullshit, and most of them are probably not millionaires.

My fellow creatives, don't ignore your body giving you warning signs, if you can. As I deal with this eye illness I'm thinking back to when I ignored lesser symptoms of problems in this eye because they'd go away with rest or time. Instead, I should have rushed to get an ophthalmologist appointment.
