Finished Ambrosia Sky Part 1 and it's good. My main issues is that the story cuts off earlier than I'd like for a part 1, but the gameplay was fun, and can't beat the price.

Wildgate is getting some new PvE, and PvP-optional modes and that has me really excited. If they continue along this route I really think they could give Sea of Thieves a competitor, and keep building a different audience besides PvP/Extraction/BR hybrid they have now.

History is already against me, but my game business hot take is that original Fortnite wasn't a failure because the game was bad, but because of the terrible way they released it, then monetized it, and the state of Epic's store app all actively drove players away.

Concord being reverse engineered back is interesting. It wasn't great, but, it had a lot of effort in it. It's a game that feels like if someone else was in charge and made better decisions it could easily have been something. Maybe not a live service contender, but a solid cooperative shooter?

How to make friends outside work? Do social activities, and if there aren't any that appeal to you now, create/host them.
Part of the whole reason I run TTRPGs and host boardgame nights is just to get people in the same room.
