Watching the Sumud Flotilla tonight and thinking about our friend Greta Thunberg, who was just arrested by Israel… and also countless other people who are just as brave even if we don’t know their names yet

The Global Sumud Flotilla, with Greta Thunberg, Nelson Mandela's grandson and European lawmakers aboard, includes some 50 boats and 500 activists and is carrying a symbolic amount of humanitarian aid.
Activists say Israel's navy has begun intercepting a Gaza-bound aid flotilla

You are not bad or wrong for wanting to burn the whole f*cking world down, especially when your "fight" trauma response is triggered.

Lots of people probably have no idea how heroically restrained you've actually been this whole time. Respect.

So remember that multi-craftual blanket I posted about working on? Well it's done! Or, as done as it's going to be. I probably should put a border on it to clean up the edges, but honestly I think I'm okay with it as-is.

Ripley certainly is, as she's already claimed it for herself. 🐈‍⬛🧶

Apologies, that's Rosco with no "E". I feel the need to call out my mistake for 2 reasons.
1. I'm a Midwesterner. 'nough said.
2. I too get the superlative "E" inserted into my last name. It's like torture with a slow drip.
Roscoe will be my life coach from now on.

Ripley prefers to take her water out of doors now.

Since we spend so much time in the yard together, I bought a few of these stainless steel tureens to place in a few areas. I used rocks from my lovely rock pile to weigh them down.

She's already gone back to it 3 times in the last 20 minutes. 🖤🐈‍⬛

My cat has a whole yard of grass to lay in, but she wants to sit in the dirt, on the asphalt, next to the rock pile.

This feels like the outside version of sitting in the box the toy came in.

Knitting Fun Facts, No. 7.

A study conducted by the Schweinelecker-Institut of Blurt, Austria found that the average knitter takes 8 to 12 minutes to knit 10 rounds of 100 stitches.

Unless they are last 10 rounds of sleeve #2, in which case it takes 6 to 8 weeks.

I still think many Americans have no idea how bad this is going to get. I saw President Obama reposting a tepid, mealy-mouthed analysis by Ezra Klein—who's never seen a phenomenon he couldn't be 5 years late in incompetently circumscribing—and I felt like we don't have what it takes to survive this.

This is the part where everyone starts to find out that this has been the plan all along. A plan crafted by Stephen Miller, to use an ego-driven, shit-factory with a following to gain control of the highest office in the US.

What Trump does out in the open, Vance will do mostly in the shadows.
“.. if, God forbid, there's a terrible tragedy, I can't think of better on-the-job training than what I've gotten over the last 200 days,” he added.

This is the most accurate reporting there is right now. Gonzo for Werewolf 2026.
Onto July!

Much like June, Gonzo went HONKERSBONKERS on the 10th, a Full Moon. I think this is because he is becoming a werewolf. He might not have as many *days* of crimb on Full Moon days but he is increasing his crimb rate! I will continue to report on this theory as more data becomes available!

I feel like I should follow up last week's post about being defeated by my toilet install, with this video of my toilet flushing. Like music to my ears!

With the help of a friend, some longer screws, and a better subfloor repair, we were able to get everything seated properly. Next up, the sink 😬

I would like to propose a change to the acronym D.I.Y.

Henceforth, it shall be D.I.I.Y.D. (Do It If You Dare).

Perhaps I Dared where I shouldn't have.

2 months in on the project, 1 month in on figuring out how to install a toilet properly.

Ripley is doing her best to keep me from crying.

Listening to a band (not) called Bingo Thursdays sing a song about a Saturday night on a Friday night, about a piano playing on a guitar.

Nothing makes any sense any more, so this makes perfect sense.

Amazon is really running with the 90's/00's throwback and bringing us catalogs again. The layouts really remind me of all those teen magazines too.

Gotta say, I really do love me a catalog.
