If you read one piece about the BBC debacle, let it be this one.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

When you’ve successfully persuaded people that being anti-racist is a Bad Thing called “woke”, you can go about your day being openly racist, doing racist things, spreading racist ideas, quite happily.

A viral online video, which claims to show "Ukrainian soldiers" threaten to kill Charlie Kirk's wife Erika Kirk, is fake.

Not only do the "soldiers" in the clip speak Ukrainian with a notably strong Russian accent, but it has hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign known as Storm-1516.

Labour cancelled 13 million covid vaccines to clinically vulnerable. This week 188 people have died from COVID. I feel nothing has been learnt. It’s made a mockery out of the COVID inquiry. We now need another inquiry to investigate this governments mishandling.

Yikes!
In case you missed it, Kerry Brown wrote a book that plagiarized Shelley Rigger’s classic book title.

I, along with others who were asked to review Kerry’s manuscript, said verbatim to change the title.

In the most tacky and unprofessional fashion, he stole her title anyway.

This, but "is".
The pandemic was a mass-disabling event and one of the reasons it has largely vanished from day to day political discourse is that those in power don't want to acknowledge the long term care needs it produced.
The number of people aged between 16 and 34 who are out of work due to long-term sickness increased by 76% between 2019 and 2024
November 5, 2025 at 9:05 AM
Or how about face up to the fact that we are experiencing a now unmitigated mass disabling event?
