Russia is not winning the war in Ukraine, and — as the aggressor — should not be treated as a victor at the negotiating table
The “deal” deprives Ukraine of everything it has won by withstanding Russian aggression and defending the borders of Europe.

It rewards Russian lawlessness—and makes America complicit in the lawlessness.

It’s the end of post WWII American power.

How "democracies" around the world are becoming autocracies.
Press restrictions were once the hallmark of autocracies. Now even democracies like the US and UK are imposing limits on journalists. Read more: bloom.bg/4rbsKGK

I would never ever get into one of these.
California quietly opened the door to one of the largest geographic expansions of autonomous ride-hailing the state has ever seen after the DMV approved an enlargement of Waymo’s operating territory.
Waymo secures approval to expand driverless service across much of California
The new permit covers the entire Bay Area, Sacramento and a Southern California corridor stretching from Santa Clarita to San Diego.

We have roving bands of masked bullies terrorizing people as they go about their lives. Being a citizen won't protect you.

Important insight! Thank you.
This is right. A thing folks are not really cognizant of is that a reason Mamdani is able to manage this so well is that our communities are so used to bearing unbearably dehumanizing levels of disrespect directly to our faces while still being polite, because we have to to be able to function.

It’s important to remember that there is a 900 page document listing hundreds of actions to dismantle the architecture of democratic society in big and small ways. Project 2025 is quietly implementing their agenda. I’m grateful to people in every discipline working to block them.

Nuremberg judges.
They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

Do you hate the new Vaccines and Autism webpage revisions as much as we do? Yes? Great. Some action items:

1. Submit your concerns through CDC INFO: www.cdc.gov/cdc-info/for...
2. (if not a fed employee) Consider adding "vaccines do NOT cause autism" to your signature line 😈

I saw a post about the regime soliciting applications for immigration judges with a signing bonus.
5 immigration judges were summarily fired in San Francisco today, the largest such firing in the city all year.

It continues a trend of the Trump admin. targeting immigration judges nationwide. In San Francisco, at least 12 have been sacked this year.

I'm keeping a list of cowards and collaborators who've helped destroy public health and biomedical research: who would you nominate? From Ta-Nehisi Coates: "If none of us are here, If none of us are here to see it, tell your children who the cowards were."

Are we going to call every socialist candidate or elected official some version of "this place's Mamdani" now? My small city had a socialist mayor for many years. We have socialists on our Common Council. It's not new and will soon be too widespread to act like it's a one-off or limited thing.
Seattle's new socialist mayor is being called a 'West Coast Mamdami.' @timdickinson.bsky.social unpacks Katie Wilson's upset victory, and why it's making the powerful panic.
