recently finished my very first (60 hour!) playthrough of fallout 3. i have many mixed feelings about the main quest, especially where james is concerned, but all in all i really enjoyed it. the side quests were very, very fun and i love the look and feel of the capital wasteland

Fallout 3 was my first fallout ; imagine my sheer disappointment when all that the brotherhood was turning into was eviscerated in 4 because fans were upset that this isn't the power hungry, tech hoarding wastelander hating holier than thou isolationists.

Behind the dazzling façade of the silver screen, Lamarr was an ingenious inventor whose work helped lay the foundation for modern wireless communications, proving that brilliance can thrive in the unlikeliest of places. Born in Vienna in 1914, Lamarr’s journey to stardom began in Europe, where she made her film debut as a teenager. By the late 1930s, she had moved to Hollywood, quickly rising to fame with roles in films like Algiers and Samson and Delilah. Known for her captivating presence and elegance, Lamarr became one of the most iconic actresses of her time. However, it was during World War II that Lamarr’s hidden talents truly emerged. Deeply concerned about the war, and the growing threat posed by submarines, Lamarr was determined to contribute to the Allied effort. Drawing on her understanding of radio frequencies, she co-invented a groundbreaking technology with composer George Antheil. Together, they developed a “frequency-hopping” system designed to prevent enemy forces from jamming torpedo guidance signals.
