My elderly neighbour likes to keep me updated on her TV watching. She loves "I'm a Celebrity, get me out of here!"
She just referred to George Calombaris as George Columbias and he shall be known by that name henceforth. 😂

I’m about to go and whack some balls around a tennis court and honestly, it’s too hot & humid & my body is conspiring against me.
But as per usual, I’ll feel better for having done it. (And I need the social interaction with the ladies.)

When I was at the hospital with one of my kids, many years ago, there was a baby with whooping cough & it was heartbreaking to witness. Why would anyone knowingly put their child through that?
We need better campaigns to cut thru the bullshit anti-vax discourse.
Let's seriously talk about whooping cough, because sanitised admin speak doesn't cut it. A baby or toddler. YOUR baby or toddler in hospital on oxygen, fighting for every breath. The heart wrenching whooping is the noise of her trying to breathe in. /2
Australians really need to stop being American.

I've gotta stop washing the dishes just before heading out to the supermarket.
Or wear a waterproof apron, because this always happens.

I used to think my design style was heavily influenced by Mid-Century modern, but now I’m going to go with eclectic maximalism.

"Refusing is actually the more hopeful expansive vision of the future than the one that they're telling you is already settled."
I like that!
More people should listen to @tressiemcphd.bsky.social

When people say AI is inevitable, let them know the future isn’t settled.

Hotels and motels used to draw weary travellers in with the promise of Foxtel.
Now it's EV charging points.

Every time I see a creative person posting those stupid ChatGPtT caricatures on FB, I die a little inside.
And then I block them or unfollow their business.
Because it's right up there with the "Just let us have a little bit of fun"-buys another fucking Labubu, crowd.
There's no Planet B, people!

It would be really good if a breastscreen technician developed a better breastscreen machine. Because contorting myself into the correct position for the current machine was like a beginner taking an advanced yoga class.

So saddened to read that @kudelka.bsky.social has died.
May he Rest in Peace.😢

Today I've seen 3 creatives that I follow, post whimsy little portraits created by ChatGPT and I'm so disappointed.
The disconnect just blows my mind.🤯

“Marge! The rains are ‘ere!”
(Actual rain is falling. Not juice from corn cobs.)

Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

“Can this invoice go out yet?
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"I FUCKING HATE THIS WITH EVERY FIBRE OF MY BEING"
Without naming your job, tell me something you say over and over again at work.

"Where are your citations?"

Does Anthony Albanese actually read the room? Or an opinion poll. Maybe even a Facebook page?
Or does he spend his days with his head in the sand, only looking at what his media minions put in front of him?
Because Bro is delulu about public opinion re: Herzog.

Watering the garden & tidying up around the yard has me at 13000+ steps today. Not a bad effort after sitting & crafting for most of yesterday.
My achilles tendonitis has flared up so it’s time to stretch then shower.

The rain completely missed us! (Not counting the five drops that I felt.)
February 8, 2026 at 5:41 AM
The weather forecast was predicting thunderstorms this arvo , but now it shows nothing.
So I’m watering the garden in the hope I don’t lose any more plants.

I'm working on a fun little project at the mo, but I've done that thing again where I over research/plan before starting and now I don't have a jumping off point. So I'd like the Bluesky fam to do me a favour. If you see this post, respond with 5 colours you'd like to see together. Most to least.

I am that person that will buy a unique piece of furniture from the Op-shop, even if I don't have space for it in my house.
It might clutter up a room for a bit, but it will eventually find it's place. This amazing coffee table just fit in the back of my car, so it was obviously meant to be mine.

Richard Marles is the epitome of “The standard you walk past is the standard you accept.”
We can only hope that he’ll have his day in court, along with the rest of the genocide sympathisers, Wong, Minns & Albo.

Can someone please remind me tomorrow, to do my calf stretches? I’m too tired to do it now and my ankle is tender. But I need to strengthen the muscles.😣

My youngest is struggling with some stuff atm and she said to me last night, "I just want to feel normal."
My response was, "There's no such thing as normal. It's just a fantasy sold to us by films & tv."
That realisation in my 20's changed my outlook on life for the better.
