This was my studio visitor on Saturday. It seemed very approachable.

If the family doesn't get home soon, there's a good chance I'll eat all of these pappadums by myself.

The verdict is in. This is not at all unpleasant. It reminds me of IKEA ginger thins, or those cinnamon scroll biscuits we used to get when I was younger. There's also hints of almond, like Amaretto.
I'm pleasantly surprised.

The studio clean up is done! The overflow is mostly sorted. Next up are the piles of things that magically keep appearing all over the house.

Two down, one to go.
My fingers and hands are a bit sore now, what with the stitching and the sawing from earlier today.
But yay, the end is in sight for a clean, usable studio space.😊

The sun is bouncing off the colorbond roof of the house over the road and shining directly into my eyes. But I'm not going to get on to #ACurrentAffair about it.

I was having trouble getting a straight edge to hem the curtains, so I hung them up and grabbed a steel ruler to measure with. The Bloke joked about using a laser level. I said, "Is it in the truck?"
There was just enough life in the battery to get it measured.😊

This is a real ad, from an issue of Fiberarts magazine, 1980. 😂
I'm not going to look up if the business still exists. I'm not prepared for what the search results might show.

Well, that was nerve-wracking!
And one of the most poorly designed systems I've ever had to navigate!
But, two tickets were secured and the youngest child is ecstatic.

As I was packing up the cabin today, this fat little wallaby stopped by to eat the stale Jatz crackers I threw out for the birds. It was a chonky lad(or lass, I couldn’t be sure.)

My head hurts just looking at this photo.

I bought a vintage dolls wardrobe for $20 yesterday. I plan on using it to display some of my jewellery & stuffed things in this tricky alcove, but getting the paint off is proving harder than I thought.
The previous owner painted over the hinges!

Despite beginning this in Sept 2024, it sat idle for ages until I picked it up again on June 13th. I'd spend an hour or so on it most evenings over the last 2 months and after sewing the backing and label onto it yesterday, it's now officially finished.
I call this one "Swings & Roundabouts."

It's been a very slow day today. There were chats around the kitchen table, phone conversations and a bit of gardening. Now the house is quiet & I'm going to make the most of it with a bit of reading.

I saw an air fryer bread & butter pudding at my local supermarket. I didn’t buy it because it wouldn’t fit in my air fryer and I knew I could probably make it. Guess what smells amazing in my oven right now?
We don’t often eat dessert, but I had a craving.

I made this for my front door, because of the elderly JW guy that used to constantly ignore my previous sticker. It only stated that salespeople weren't allowed.

I wasn't going for retro spaceships and axolotl faced aliens, but I kinda dig it.
Anyway, time to stop so I can prepare my early, pre tennis dinner.

The amount of Liberal signs at my local polling place was beyond a joke! It just made them look needy and desperate.

There was a guy at the Trash & Treasure market today, with a bunch of vintage Algerian made mannequin faces/displays from the 1970’s. Some had turbans & glittery lipstick. I chose this one because it was sturdier & had a hook for hanging.

The baker's case is mostly done.
The next task is finding a place in the house for it to live.
March 15, 2025 at 10:28 AM
I just searched for "fancy toilet suites" and Oh My! I kind of like this.

Pie
Overcooked.
The pastry was a bit thick.
But it was absolutely delicious.
Not as good as my Nanna's pie, but closer than my previous attempts.
