Was surprised how many people noticed the abundance of influencers WB invited to the WUTHERING HEIGHTS premiere. I used that to talk about influencers as celebrities, their lack of transparency on the pay for play model, and trying to be "honest" in their reviews.

Had the inkling to watch more Chinese crime movies; specially noir. So I'm currently watching ONLY THE RIVER FLOWS by Wei Shujun.

Any other examples of this genre from China? Or as I like to call it, Chi-Noir?

For tonight's Midnight Movie Madness, I go from blaxploitation back to Japanese splatter. I've heard of the manga the film is based on and its extreme origins. But honestly I chose this film because of the short run time.

I present to you MAI-CHAN'S DAILY LIFE by Sado Satō.

Not knowing that this month is Black History Month (despite my viewing of BONES), I've decided to go into another film for Midnight Movie Madness, also starring the great Pam Grier.

I present to you COFFY by Jack Hill.

Any film that has Lam Suet in it has a 95% chance that it's going to be entertaining.
