Apparently, Ripping Yarns started on this day as well. First episode January 7th, 1976. Eventually delivered 9 virtually perfect little gifts and then left again. "Golden Gordon" features possibly my favourite ever cameo by anyone, but also erupts into brilliance when David Leland loses it.
