Another atheist commie queer knitting librarian.
My husband and I went to see Carnival of Souls at an art theater.

It was my first date with a man. He wasn't aware that it was a date. 😅
This is an unapologetically sappy feel-good subject (at least, I guess, for people in a happy relationship”). So, to prepare for Valentine’s Day, what did you and your partner do for a first date?

My wife and I went to tea at Huntington Gardens and walked around.
On our first date, my spouse and I spent like an hour talking about footnotes.

Good first draft of the party's new platform.
When Ds are back in charge, they have to change everything. No moderate half-measures. Just relentless razing of the corrupt institutions that enriched the worst people in the world and propped up fascism.

A few suggestions...

I already played along once, but I like how this alphabet thing works.

Age verification?

Age verification? I used to make calls from Chinatown pay phones shaped like little pagodas.
Age verification? I used to record music off the radio with cassette tapes.

I think it should probably be a bigger story that the president of the United States is a raving lunatic
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "We hit 'em. And we want to hit 'em right, sir, and we want to hit them from the top! East, west, north, south. Sir, they won't know what the hell! And we'll knock them out. We did it politically correct. Five years."

When it comes to documenting ICE activity, remember what Eisenhower said at the end of WWII.
"Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the track of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened."

If I had a bingo card, which I don't, having the president of the United States being a stupid, vulgar, venal, drug-addled pedophile dipshit from Queens would not be on it.

Naming no names, of course.

I hate exercising, but I like walking. During the months of decent weather, I walk for 3.5–4 miles nearly every day.

At the end of October, I started taking the time to go farther—around 6 miles. Hoping I can keep it up through the winter. 🤞

I don’t want to hear about norms, I don’t want to hear about looking forward not back, I don’t want to hear about “bipartisanship”

I want the filibuster gone, the court packed, new states, and a top to bottom cleaning of the federal government that ends with a lot of people in jail

Remembering that I grew up with John Glenn and Howard Metzenbaum as senators, but now I have the car salesman and Mr. Lint-for-Brains.
As an undergrad at Kent State in the 80s, I quietly used to think that if students weren't protesting, no one would have been shot. Then I heard Senator Metzenbaum speak at the 15th memorial, reminding us that protest is necessary and patriotic. It was transformational.
