If you remember when the FBI raided Jeffrey Epstein’s homes, they found not only documents, CDs, video tapes, and electronic devices—they found entire BOXES OF HARD DRIVES.

That’s A LOT of unaccounted for data.

It takes non-American news organisations to call things out as they are.
I’m glad to see @channel4news.bsky.social addressing this. It’s been bothering me because, basically, the DOJ is continuing to lie about the Jeffrey Epstein matter:

“The information released could amount to just 2% of the information that the FBI retrieved from his homes.”

JUST TWO PERCENT.
In today's Your Week In 4, analysis by Channel 4 News has identified emails in the latest Epstein files that suggest the information released could amount to just 2% of the information that the FBI retrieved from his homes.

Note the framing here:

It’s “Democrats have refused to fund” DHS and not “Republicans refused to prohibit face masks” or “the two parties could not agree on how to reform the agency.”

1968 was a bad year in America. RFK and MLK were assassinated. City riots and anti-war demonstrations. At the politically messy Democratic Nat’l Convention in Chicago, police turned viciously violent on live TV.

Crowds responded by chanting “The whole world is watching”.

True in 68 and true now.

This is in Montreal, Canada. These fine folks showed up to protest GardaWorld (Garda) and their contracts with ICE.

Bravo to the MORE than 1000 people who protested today.

Shooting dozens of rounds of tear gas and using pepper spray and their batons, the SPVM violently pushed back more than a thousand people who showed up this afternoon to send a message to GardaWorld over their contracts with ICE at their offices and training center in Ville Saint-Laurent. (thread)

I said this quietly to senior officials in Ireland over the last 12 months. Now it requires public statement.

Ireland became rich because -among other reasons- it is the venue where US tech firms can operate in Europe with relative impunity. But this strategy may not last much longer.

There is no reforming this. There is only abolition, and then trials.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.
