The worst part of being disabled is seeing the expression of your loved ones finally lose patience with supporting you.

You become the burden, truly.

And all you’re doing is try to survive and try to co-regulate with your safe people.

And you’re too much right now for their needs.

Valve just updated their Steam rules to ban content that “may violate rules set by payment processors or banks.” Sounds boring. It’s not. It’s the quiet normalization of financial censorship and it’s going to hurt LGBTQ+ games and devs

Quick dirty 🧵 on where we get the idea of transsexual types and why we should care—

I think these typologies are based on a REAL DIFFERENCE: the ways society *reacts* to different presentations of transness, which it then tries to naturalize.

I'm still in research phases but let's break it down

I knew we were cooked as a society when everyone just sorta decided they were sick of dealing with Covid and everyone just decided to pretend like it wasn't a thing anymore.

Folks talking about different inflection points don’t understand: the COVID is over propaganda was, for a lot of us, the moment we realized our friends, family, neighbors couldn’t be trusted wholesale. When community died no matter where you lived.

That’s the difference.

Since our nation’s founding, the fabric of American society has been woven with deeply racist policies systematically barring marginalized communities from accessing opportunities in jobs, education, and housing.

The time is now to root out racism and build a future grounded in equity for all.

Kids. Never. Deserve. Death. And. Trauma.

No matter where they’re from. No matter who their parents are. And if you can’t center that grief while children are still missing, you need to work on your compassion.

As we move from June into July, the Pride keeps going in our house. July is Disability Pride Month. I will post about it periodically, but let’s get something out of the way.

Every year, people wrinkle their noses. “You’re PROUD of your disabilities? Even though you complain about them?”

Yes.
