Cancer epidemiologist here, this is really important news for breast cancer patients. 😌
“ABC11 spoke with Lori Lober, a study participant. Initially, she was given a grim prognosis, with median survival rate of less than 2 to 3% for five years. However, the trial at Duke Health gave her new hope. She has remained disease-free for 24 years.”

I could cry.

A small group of women with advanced breast cancer participated in a trial where they received a vaccine, and all are alive today.

European media closely follow Alberta’s separatist chatter. This has negative impact on investment confidence and it compromises Canada’s geopolitical standing.

Separatism only serves foreign interests.

The United Conservative Party government recently awarded a $95-million settlement to the Australian mining firm Montem Resources.

About a third of that settlement will go to an investment firm in Melbourne. The same firm that funded Montem’s lawsuit against Alberta.

Andrew Nikiforuk writes.

Two firms that invested far less are getting $235 million. Taxpayers face more such hits.

The UCP uses closure more than any other party in Alberta history.

It's easy to blame the leadership for curtailing debate.

But UCP backbenchers have willingly handed over their authority by supporting these motions.

Our new book explores this element of hyperpartisanship: partyloyalty.ca.

I began writing this story with a naive question in mind: What do we lose when public education is privatized? A lot, actually.

By following the MAGA playbook, the UCP’s push against public education not only undermines democracy, it jeopardizes the possibility of a better future for all Albertans.

Thanksgiving in Canada has nothing to do with Columbus!

We are a colonial country with a million things to atone for but Thanksgiving is not one of them.

Our Thanksgiving is timed with the harvest and it's literally just "Be grateful for harvest"

The MMR shot is safe and effective, and there is no credible evidence otherwise.

Breaking MMR into three shots means 3x more copays at the doctor’s office, 3x more hours of missed work, 3x more bummed out kiddos, and probably more than 3x as many kids who aren’t fully vaccinated.

Ah yes. Waking up from the hag with someone calling your name backwards. Those are the memories that childhood is made of 😬
For me, few stories from Canadian folklore are scarier than that of the Old Hag of Newfoundland.
She is said to visit people while they sleep, leading to the phrase "I was hagged last night".
This is the story of a very scary night visitor.
