most people want, above all else, power over their own lives. the ability to live a life where they can choose their occupation, choose whether or not to have kids, whether to live in a city vs the country, etc. rich people have achieved that. and now they want that power over OTHER people's lives
most people, if they could have anything in the world they wanted, would ask for a roughly middle class level of stability and comfort, and then for other people to be also stable and comfortable. the rich want an inhuman amount of wealth beyond that and they WILL hurt others to achieve it

Some lady had a problem with the "It's okay to punch nazis" sticker on my water bottle and then she turned around to exit and clipped the doorframe and dropped her chicken tenders and fries all over the place and a dog ate it
