I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense
Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used

It finally happened. I finally ran into a Youtube video with that awful auto-dubbing feature turned on.
The video is an interview and it's... not even watchable now. Like the auto-dubbing is just saying random nonsensical words. 😭
Why did they ever think this was a good feature to implement?

As someone who has had his nose on the glass looking in at most of this history, and touched it directly a few times in my own small ways, this is a compelling narrative of where TTRPGs are right now and how it came to be that way.

I never got to Endwalker in FF14 and I'm not sure I will at this point. I wish there was a version of that game I could go back to where it had any sort of challenge outside of things like the extreme trials. It feels like way too much has been sanded off in order to make it as friendly as possible.

Adobe Audition not having the ability to use a marquee or lasso tool to highlight multiple keyframes in multitrack mode makes me feel insane. They really just want you to manually click to highlight every individual keyframe you want to edit.
