What we do to ppl in this country via prison is the most fucked slow motion torture-to-death for absolutely zero reason or gain other than thats what we do.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

I guess maybe the biggest problem is that punditry and editorial opinion is the only thing motivating reporting. Its backwards.

gen x / millennials are obsessed with avoiding any moral standing at all costs. They cannot weigh in on an issue except as an “analytical pundit” who is “gaming out how the data could lead the situation”.
