For real, I suck at making games because the task is so monumental.

People with no coding experience just sorta vibing their way through is genuinely impressive, I’ve been coding since I was 12.

people who are able to make and release games with little to no programming experience are incredibly impressive. i've got 20 years of coding experience and i still sometimes have trouble fitting things together and making them work. doing it all in menus or copy/pasted code sounds like a nightmare

I sure do. I haven't used Amazon in years, and I only go to a bigger retailer if it's my only option.

The fruits of a trade with a scene friend: a ZX Spectrum+2. Recapped (psu too), reconditioned, new tape drive put in, a new 5V thingy, and also an audio mod for clearer sound.

All with an RGB scart cable, DivMMC Divtiesus flashcart, and a little collection of tape games. 💜

the youtube vs yt-dlp arms race is hilarious, because of how lopsided it is.

on the one hand, you've got a company with the GDP of Denmark who has about a manhattan-project's worth of developers they can assign to this.

but on the other end, you've got every bored or annoyed javascript hacker.

I shit a lot on Microsoft, but I have to admit, VSCode is pretty sweet.

I've been using vim basically ever since I was 15 and never really looked at other text editors/IDEs. Finally tried VSCode and it blew my damn mind.

Really impressed. Rare W for Microsoft.

Once again reminding folks that the ethical replacement to using Spotify isn’t another streaming platform; it’s buying music from artists when you’re in the financial position to do so and pirating them when you’re unable to do so. Or simply ask an artist for the files, like actually.

AI is the new hammer, and everything is a nail.
The worlds richest people aren't investing in "AI" because it makes for useful tools and profitable companies, but because they think someone is about to create general artificial intelligence in the near future and they want to get there first.

They are *immune* to "AI doesn't work" arguments.
