it’s wild that in canada we’re talking about building oil and gas pipelines instead of just hitting the accelerator on electrification.

the longer we stay wedded to fossil fuels, the more we’re jeopardizing not just our environmental future, but our economic one too.
“China’s dramatic surge of investment into the ’new three‘—EVs, batteries, and solar—is expected to crush oil demand by 5M barrels/day by 2030. That cheaper green tech is now enabling 100+ countries to break free from … imported hydrocarbons towards the sunlit uplands of electric self-sufficiency.”

Given how important Israeli voices are in this context for obvious reasons: we now have Israel's two leading human rights NGOs in addition to many of its leading Holocaust and Genocide scholars calling the IDF's actions in Gaza a genocide.

There is no debate.

Excellent FT piece on how the EU succumbed to Trump’s trade extortion: “Rather than join Canada and China with instant retaliation and inflict pain on US consumers and businesses, the EU — hamstrung by divergent views among its member states — chose to take the pain”

We are receiving desperate messages of starvation from #Gaza, including from our colleagues.

Food prices have increased 40 fold.

UNRWA has enough food for the entire population for over three months, stockpiled just outside Gaza.

Lift the siege and let aid in safely and at scale.

After almost 2 years of refusing to use the word “genocide” The NY Times publishes this now that the slaughter of Gaza is in its final stages.

Get ready for loads of revisionist history from Corp News on the Gaza genocide just like with the invasion of Iraq.

And coming soon, the climate emergency.

Awarding the UN's Francesca Albanese a Nobel Peace Prize would be powerful global recognition of her great courage in speaking out against genocide in Gaza.

It would be a clear statement of utter disgust from us all.

Italy and Switzerland showed me again that investment in cycling reaps a huge return on investment. Tourism through the roof, healthy people, lowered urban traffic, transport networks that work symbiotically and e-bikes literally everywhere.

We are a decade behind already.

Galway’s councillors continue to hold its people hostage with their outdated approach to transport — a second ring road.

The problem in Galway is not too few roads, but too many cars and too few viable alternatives.
