The BBC (among others) continue to get this so wrong at the detriment of genuine electric bike riders and those who could be one day. Look at the video and it's obvious this is throttle-powered, so an e-motorbike. Feel for the victim, of course. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

On a strict budget of £1,000 and want a jack-of-all-trades bike? There are not many electric bikes under this threshold that can hold up to proper scrutiny, so we wanted to check out Falcon Turbine to find out how this value-led all-rounder holds up.

Added context on this story now. Only 6% of C2W sales are over £2,000, so IF the treasury's argument for lowering the cap is exploitation for high-end kit, well the maths rather fall apart. They'd not save much at all:
The Cycle to Work scheme may be up for reform at the Autumn Budget. I had heard whispers.

The chancellor would do well to take a measured approach here, because C2W is now 25% of all retail sales. A blunt force strike could easily do more harm than good.

It's interesting to see electric mountain bike sales pulling ahead of the general trend.

Here's a guide for those confused by the dizzying array of e-MTB styles on offer, with pros & cons for each, plus an assessment of when to balance weight, power & range.

From what was the bike industry's largest cash raise for a brand to scale rapidly, to now a potential closure by January. Rad Power Bikes' steady wind-up appears imminent.

Will the bike trade do anything differently next time a black swan event arrives?
