Seven years ago today, Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi was tortured, murdered and then dismembered. And any so-called comedian who can't stand up tonight in Riyadh and do ten minutes on that kind of hijinx and horseplay just isn't worth the Saudi blood money he's being paid.

Here, the prosecutor volunteered to drop the charges if the journalists agreed there was probable cause for the arrest — likely an attempt to thwart a § 1983 lawsuit.
They wouldn't, and now they're standing trial this week.

WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.
He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.
