Heard folks on #KUT talking about the Texas Book Festival and all the tents for different kinds of books. There’s a History tent, Biography tent, Memoir tent. Those are the Past Tents. And there’s a Sci Fi tent, Transhumanism tent, and somehow Kurzweil got his own ten? Those are the Future Tents.

Highest demand day of the year in Texas, first time over 83,000 megawatts. Solar again providing a consistent, reliable 30% of demand; wind and solar combined are at ~50%. Plenty of extra power available, prices are low. No conservation alerts necessary. #txlege #txenergy

The #Austin housing market is cooling down. Houses have even lost value for the first time in a long time.

Sounds good to me.

🚨Under the deceptive A-F ratings released by Governor Greg Abbott‘s Agency the # of failing TX schools went ⬆️ 240% in 1 yr.

Courts had blocked these grades for being unjust, but the all-Abbott appointed 15th Court reversed.

It’s rigged from top to bottom.

Thanks for covering the great work we’ve done in Austin and that’s being done across the country on removing parking minimums
Why Cities Are Getting Rid of Decades-Old Parking Rules
Hundreds of cities have cut back parking requirements for real estate projects. That’s led to more housing development, but it has also resulted in backlash from residents.
