It was nice having natural language processing for sure. Parsing the users input (and deriving meaning) would have been difficult without it.

It was nice having natural language processing for sure. Parsing the users input (and deriving meaning) would have been difficult without it.

As I’ve been working with LLMs the most important thing is remembering how inefficient these things are despite the momentary advantages they seek to possess.
Do I run a server with a GPU sucking script that’s wrong half the time, or pay for a map API service that’s cheaper, faster, and accurate?

Maybe the third time's a charm 😄. Yesterday, I posted that we could eliminate things like country-name dropdowns and replace them with free text, perhaps using an LLM to correct errors.
