Highly recommend @sarahkendzior.bsky.social’s “They Knew: How a Culture of Conspiracy Keeps America Complacent”. She wrote it in 2022.
Reading Sarah’s work has prepared me for this moment, and I credit her with making me painfully in touch with reality.
Surprised her books haven’t been banned, tbh.

Periodic reminder that direct action is a fundamental form of protest.

It is the original form of protest.

To refuse to accept the status quo, to intervene in an effort to shift power from the oppressor to the oppressed is protest.

THAT IS THE LESSON OF HOLOCAUST EDUCATION YOU SICK FREAK
I'm struck by this clip of former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz saying Holocaust education has backfired in part because people Palestinians as victims: "They think the lesson of the Holocaust is…you fight the big powerful people hurting the weak people."

The rich and powerful want AI to work SO BAD because then society is forced to question reality.
What’s real? What’s AI?
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’re closer than we’ve ever been to an Epstein file release. They’re counting on folks not knowing definitively what’s real.

Humans need other human beings to survive. I'm sorry that this makes some people lose their shit but it's one of the key truths of life.

Alice Wong was one of the most effective people challenging the Whiteness of disability communities and its many flaws, but who believed fiercely in us as a community, in disabled people as oracles.

Alice brought so much to so many of us, it’s hard to measure the kind of gratitude I have for that.

VC using other ppls capital to build data centers, when they go bust will lease back crypto mining 4 cheap but controlling peak use, between utility ownership & commodities futures pricing making ENRON 2.0 money.
They are already successful

Sarah Kendzior’s “They Knew” is a radicalizing read. It was published 3 years ago and very clearly outlines the evidence that helped me see the ruling class is bipartisan, and it’s beyond time for accountability.

ALSO, Bluesky suspended Kendzior this week for posting Johnny Cash lyrics in October.
Why would Democrats sit on all this info they had on Trump and his connections to Epstein?

Its almost as if there is a cabal of extremely wealthy donor pedophiles both parties are beholden to that are also extremely compromised by Epstein...

takes an unbelievable level of failed skill checks to be a loser if you're rich. you have unrestrained time and resources to hone any skill in the world and to verifiably support your local community but instead you're a selfish spineless blight on society. no excuse for it

And I've been doing politics for long enough to know clearly that the entire Senate Democratic caucus agreed to this decision to fold. Open your eyes. The 8 who "broke" did so with the complete blessing of Schumer and their colleagues. You don't have to play along because this is not a game. The end

- being able to look capitol police in the eye
- what a furloughed fed worker would say to me
- what somebody would say about SNAP

People like Kaine are more worried about people’s perceptions of them than they are about people’s *actual* suffering.

They’re hollow & out of touch collaborators.
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"
