I wouldn’t know where to begin listing all the things I hate about recent iOS versions.
I like now having charger dock awareness /standby mode, but why? oh why is there no widget available that offers media control?! Surely this would be one of the most sought interactions with a docked device?

Can’t trust ABC on anything these days - The World Today talks about an “eleven hectare fire that has been burning for weeks”. Sounds not that big to me, so search the website: Story dated “Sun 19 Feb” - ooh, they saved so many characters abbreviating day and month - don’t bother with year: ‘2012’.

For years, maybe more than a decade, I’ve been typing in alt-text for images I post, occasionally magnifying someone else’s screencap until I can read it, then transcribing or finding the original source to repost… now I’ve been given the newest ‘smart’phone I’ve ever had - about five years old. 1/2

Serial killer on TV:
- extremely smart
- also, cunning like an animal
- charismatic but cold
‐ troubled childhood
- operatic sensibilities
- can only be caught by the greatest detective

Serial killer IRL:
- just a cop
- a regular cop
- cops won't stop him because he is a cop

At core of AWW incident (ie racist Board univiting Palestinian Aust writer, interference from ill-intent lobbyists, an over-reaching Premier, articles missing vital details) is desperation to break our solidarity, and for people to stop talking about genocide.

Don't get distracted.

So every religious school that vilifies LGBTQI+ people gets their funding completely cut off right? Right?

Sending army to protect Sydney's Jewish community 'not off the table'
Sydneysiders can expect to see more police officers carrying long-armed guns in the weeks ahead, with the premier not ruling out sending troops to protect the Jewish community.

Mathematician John Conway was born #OTD in 1937. 🧪

He made broad and profound contributions across all of mathematics, but he is maybe best known by the general public for his "game of life" cellular automaton.

Conway passed away in 2020, from COVID-19.

I’ve been fortunate in my four months of #EVOwnership to have only shared a charging station for minutes so far … until today.
Be warned: a 75kW station will only supply <30kW to each of two vehicles sharing it. And my #BYDShark always less than the other - plugged in before or after. 1/2

New dog has been here a year, and it’s 34℃ - so I introduced him to the secret swimming spot. (Worth the wait! A year ago dog was reluctant to swim at any of closest spots, but now leapt straight in, sampled every pool :-)

I had been hoping to find a good introductory explanation of #Apple #CarPlay, but if www.apple.com/au/ios/carpl... doesn’t even list 2025 model vehicles, is it still even a thing?

When it does seem to connect to my #BYDShark, I’m always needing to dismiss some junk from U2, so must delete that too.

Reminder to self: current setup of devices and networks will not reliably provide ‘WiFi-Calling’.

Perhaps some justification for getting a ‘new’ device less than a decade old… maybe even a late model?
