“China has already developed submarine-spotting lasers.

#CSIRO is working with a Chinese marine science institute that has separately developed satellite technology that can find submarines at depths of up to 500 metres.”
Will all submarines, even nuclear ones, be obsolete and ‘visible’ by 2040?
Technologies could render the ocean transparent by the time Australia’s new submarines are ready, some experts say

Australia’s trillion-dollar blindspot: no inheritance tax = widening inequality. Untaxed wealth transfers lock renters & asset-poor families out of housing, education & security. A modest inheritance tax (10–20%) could raise $15–25b a year for schools, health & infrastructure. #auspol

AEC disclosures show more than $138 million in political funding in 2024–25 had no declared source under the current rules.

When dark money & big donors shape our politics, public trust suffers. Australians deserve govts that are not fundraising from industries that profit when policy is weakened.

It is a deeply disturbing retelling of the Western Australian 20th century policy of genocide as practised on Aboriginal people. There is no other word for it.
