I'm an Australian woman who would love to see the whole world a happier, safer place to live - devoid of wars, injustice, liars, crime, CC and cruelty to both humans and animals. Love & respect for all living creatures is the only way forward IMO.

“We will not be silent. Minns needs to take full responsibility for this & the laws that were passed. The police who did it need to take responsibility.”

Accountability for this disaster must start at the very top & run through to the police on the ground.

albo owes the nation an apology

HOW IT STARTED, HOW ITS GOING: IPA founded in 1943 by Murdoch Sr & the owners & CEOs of big mining corps. The same Melbourne Club elite formed the Liberal Party in 1944. In the 1980s, the IPA joins the #AtlasNetwork. The party of big oil, coal, gas & nukes, until all our kids are cooked.

However, it was the withdrawal of a subsidy of $150 million by treasurer Joe Hockey that destroyed the $Billion car industry & eradication of technical skills from the workforce.

The subsidy had been in place since 1940s & works out to be $500 per job p.a., easily recovered from PAYG taxes.

Social media is to be thanked for some of the changes we are seeing in politics & community attitudes. Also damned for the worst aspects of it.

Letters to the Editor were tightly controlled & apologies so miniscule they were easily missed.

People hv avenues for expression they didn't hv before.

If @liberal.org.au.web.brid.gy want families to vote then why are your policies focused on the 5% that negatively gear, benefit from capital gains tax breaks on houses, etc. And there is no mention of getting multi-nationals to pay #tax in #australia Policies put forward are self-defeating #auspol

Scandinavian nations are routinely ranked highest in world happiness surveys.
They pursue a democratic socialist political agenda & have low rates of inequality & homelessness.
In Australia, unbridled free market capitalism prevails, happiness is falling & inequality is growing.

Hi Angus, me old (allegedly) self-enriching MP; @australianlabor.bsky.social has moved sufficiently far to the right that rather than chasing One Notion to the far right, you could shift your wreck of a party towards the centre-right where it, and not the ALP, belongs. www.abc.net.au/news/2026-02...

private sector is the WORST way to provide services. They cost more, do less, employ fewer people and achieve worse outcomes. They should all be renationalised.

Should a wheelchair cost more than a car ? No , that’s the privatised disability system at work.
Don’t get me started on poor service from Disability Companies - overcharging, failure to provide services, and churn of support workers . #NDIS #DisabilityRights

True. Perhaps if these market conditions required entities to be not-for-profit providers we might see fewer shonky outcomes. Staff paid, admin paid for, services delivered and surpluses retained to ensure sustainability and keep a lid on costs. Just spitballing here - but makes sense to me. #auspol

Measles is a bellwether. Because it’s the most contagious vaccine-preventable disease, when vaccination rates drop, it’s the first to start spreading.

Now we’ve got mumps rolling up.

Expect more.

This is just the beginning of RFK Jr.’s successful infectious disease reintroduction plan.
