I'm supposed to be drawing this porn right now but I keep getting distracted by the internet so if you guys don't get any porn today, I hope you understand it's your fault.

We were playing Wheel of Fortune the other day and I lost a puzzle that ended up being an English city I wasn't familiar with but it shouldn't count because there are only 5 English cities:

The three that I've been to (London, Manchester, Stafford)

And the two I make fun of (Essex, Wolverhampton)

Gen Z men learning that voting for "I can say the r-word now" is perhaps less important than "I have no savings and I can't get laid."
The most volatile group of voters is turning on Trump

The Gen Z cohort swung hard toward Republicans last year, but they now appear to be just as aggressively swinging away.

Me: My porn is a masterclass of nuance, a shining diamond amidst a swamp of unsophisticated decadence, nobody else can understand the subtle machinations of my erotic mind.

My porn receiving a very accurate compliment:

look we're all making a big bet on AI! and if it pays off as big as we hope, well, it's going to make a handful of people super rich and you're going to lose your job but get to watch mickey mouse fuck geralt from the witcher. if it doesn't pay off well then you get to pay for the bailouts

I can't think of a single effective ideology built on the policy that "anything my enemies dislike must therefore be good." That's not me saying that you should try and find common ground, rather, I'm saying that if your enemies don't like sitting on the giant chainsaw, that doesn't mean you should.

A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.

When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.

This is outrageous.

Looking forward to shoveling us out of whatever the hell this ends up being when I get home tomorrow.
I’ve authorized the National Guard to support emergency winter storm operations as we work to alleviate dangerous conditions on the roads.

Grateful to those who are answering the call to help our neighbors and get drivers home safely.

Remember:

When Tylenol was poisoned *by an outsider* and killed people, the company recalled all their products & redesigned them.

When Intel’s Pentium had a bug so obscure it affected 1 in _9 billion_ long division calculations, they recalled their chips.

ChatGPT was made deadly *by its team*.
i don’t see how any of the benefits of chatgpt and other consumer-facing LLMs can possibly outweigh their incredible ability to induce suicides
Adam Raine’s life hurtled toward tragedy soon after he began talking with ChatGPT about homework. Analysis of his ChatGPT account shows how the chatbot became a confidant as he planned to end his life.

Doctor Sleep was entertaining in its latter half, not really scary but a good setup for an anticipated confrontation. As is often the case the glossiness of modern film kind of hurt the atmosphere but the haunted house ride down memory lane at the end was fun. I've spent 2 and a half hours on worse.

Well this 3rd act is pretty good so, well played, movie.
My sister put on Doctor Sleep now and frankly it's kind of annoying me. Not quite sure what it's doing yet but it feels like it's trying way too hard to do it.

Some folk are already doing their end of year Art Highlights, so I'll jump on now, repost when the year is up.
These last four months haven't been very productive since doomerism took hold, but I'm pretty happy with what I got done overall, as well as my touching on the ENF/M scene.

Here's some of my personal favorite works from this year, though you've seen them plenty before. Bruce, the gay Scottish squirrel from Small Saga, is probably my top favorite but I was also pretty happy with our charming otter Lahu, our disaffected bunny Bo Daine, and a real man, Rat Dad. #Furryart

Me: Your turtle doesn't even look happy when he's eating, just angry.

Sister-in-Law: To be fair, I don't think any turtles look happy.

Me: Yeah, all turtles look British.
