Corgis have an extremely low center of gravity and the density of a dead star.

PERFECT for skateboarding! 😇

I also appreciate the screenshot he used for the story, I look particularly unhinged (complimentary)

In the last election, my father & mother voted for the final time. They both passed away shortly after. They taught me 2 lessons: always vote, & that the people are always right—both are true. I’d like to congratulate Jake Sawatzky & will work with him on the transition.

Happy 40th Birthday to Carmen Sandiego!

Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego was released on April 23, 1985 by Broderbund. The Almanac it shipped with was updated with each new print run, which gives you an easy way to identify which edition a copy is. But what if you come across a sealed copy?

US/Canada vehicle crossings saw a pronounced drop in year over year volumes of Canadian residents, especially in the same-day segment. In total this February there were about 350k fewer Canadian residents crossing into the US than the year prior (23% drop). Not much change for US resident crossings.

Love of nature transcends party lines! It's a huge opportunity to address climate change without hitting knee-jerk political walls.

Climate change is politically divisive. Public parks? Not so much.
Parks are popular community amenities. When built right, they can also mitigate flooding, heat, and other impacts of climate change.

There's a standard pattern when a city like London or Stockholm adopts congestion pricing:

It's initially unpopular b/c drivers view congestion pricing as a tax, but support grows as locals see it reducing traffic and improving urban life.

Looks like it's happening in NYC, too -- and quickly.

In this climate of anger & outrage, muni govts often don't hear from ppl who are happy with things they've done. Emails & letters are usually sent in opposition. I sent an email today to local council in appreciation of our bike lanes. Pick something you're pleased with & let them know you like it!
