At COP30 Canada just got awarded the fossil of the day — first time since 2014 (the harper years). Clear sign of how Carney’s pro fossil fuel agenda and backsliding on climate policy is being noticed internationally.

Vancouver has spent decades building up a now well-earned reputation for leadership on environmental sustainability.

Apparently, the mayor and ABC majority don't see the value in it.

Hard to imagine a better way to damage the city's brand.

Rad Power Bikes faces possible shutdown as it tries to survive ‘significant financial challenges’
A potential closure, detailed in a required state filing, would spell the end of the company and mark a stunning collapse for Rad Power Bikes, which was once Seattle’s highest-profile consumer hardware startup, riding pandemic-era e-bike demand to unicorn status.

Worth noting that because Sim brought forward his proposal for a property tax freeze requiring millions in cuts with just weeks left in the budget process, this is not up for public debate and is not outlined in the documents available to councillors when they vote on this

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

Vancouver just closed its pool because it's crumbling and will have budget cuts and a bigger police force instead.
North Van's shipyard district is probably the best public space in the region, and I think it's awesome they're taking another big swing. Other Metro Van cities should be watching and learning
