Fun fact, let’s say Thune does give Senate Dems a vote and doesnt whip against ACA subsidies, Speaker Johnson has no intention of ever holding a vote on it

Folks look at you like you're crazy when you say we're in the midst of the worst, most unprecedented Article I constitutional crisis, & then it's another day:
Johnson: "Together with my friend Speaker Ohana of the Israeli Knesset we're going to rally speakers and presidents of parliaments around the world so we will jointly nominate President Donald J Trump for next year's Nobel Prize. No one has ever deserved that prize more & that is an objective fact."

In 1874, Mary Ewing Outerbridge brought home America’s first tennis set — and customs agents seized it.

She got it back, built a court on Staten Island, and changed women’s sports forever.

History turns on curiosity, persistence, and a little nerve.

If Mike Johnson is refusing to call the House back into session during the shutdown, then we’ll do the work right here the Bronx.

The New York Essential plan is being eliminated entirely next year due to the GOP healthcare cuts. People’s lives are at stake.

And that’s why we’re fighting back.

After President McKinley's assassination in 1901, anarchist Emma Goldman was arrested & then released because she had nothing to do with the assassination.

In its War on Anarchy, the US denaturalized Goldman in 1909.

And ... 10 years later, she was deported in 1919.

Yes. (And still getting "standoff" BS and "who will blink first" and "who will voters blame" from news.)

Trump and MAGA control the *entire* government. It's a simple fact:
- White House
- Senate
- House
- Scotus
- OMB (to the hilt)
- Every regulatory agency

They're in command. It's on them.
I do not understand why they cannot get the headlines right.

Just follow the gop playbook!

“Repubs control it all! The shutdown is on them!”

As nauseum.

Don’t lead with the nuance.

Who cares about the Hatch Act?

There are no guardrails.
SCOOP — The White House instructed all federal agency leadership on Tuesday to send out a mandatory message to workers blaming the impending potential government shutdown on House Democrats, The Handbasket was first to learn. Absolutely no modifications to the email were permitted.

My story:
Trump mandates all federal agencies send email blaming Dems for potential gov’t shutdown
Workers call the partisan email "a vile slap in the face."

If you're wondering why they don't go to court with their high paid lawyers for an easy win, it's because this allows Google to bribe Trump.

Republicans control both houses of Congress and the executive branch. If there’s a shutdown, it is entirely their fault.

Huh...

At the same time that they are pushing to require proof of citizenship to vote, that proof being a passport or birth certificate...

At the same time they are trying to end birth right citizenship, making the birth certificate invalid for proving citizenship...

What a weird coincidence

What gets me is that the suspect *wanted* others to think that the shooter was liberal:

“When another user suggested that the killing of Mr. Kirk would lead President Trump to send the National Guard to Utah, the suspect replied, ‘in a red state??? nah CLEARLY the shooter was from california.’”
The Utah shooter joked on Discord with his friends that his doppelganger killed Charlie Kirk when they asked him about it
