The 🇺🇸 USA desperately needs to move toward healthcare for all. Healthcare should not be tied to employment. Uncoupling it from employment would allow people to start their own businesses and take time off to care for themselves and family members without losing access to care. #healthcareforall

Kristi Noem, while governor of South Dakota, supplemented her roughly $130,000 salary by secretly accepting $80,000 donated to a political nonprofit she was affiliated with, records show.

She never disclosed this income on federal ethics forms.

LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE DESPERATELY RUNNING 26 MILES, 385 YARDS TO ESCAPE A WAR ZONE
It was a beautiful Sunday in Portland. Farmer’s markets, the Portland Marathon, peaceful protests, and some views of Mt. Hood. This city is vibrant, peaceful, and resilient. We do not need a federal occupation, and we sure as hell don’t want one.

The judge ultimately ruled that the teen was mature enough to raise two children, but not mature enough to decide if she was ready to be a mother.

She Wanted an Abortion. A Judge Said She Wasn’t Mature Enough to Make That Decision.
As abortion access dwindles, America’s “parental-involvement” laws place further restrictions on teenagers — who may need to ask judges for permission to end their pregnancies.

The “war-ravaged” Portland only exists in Trump’s head.

@kevinhfoster.bsky.social recently visited the ICE facility and spoke with people there and across Portland—and the reality of what is happening on the streets is very different than what the administration wishes to portray.
The “war-ravaged” Portland only exists in Trump’s head.
My video report paints a very Portland scene of defiance—and dance.

Spending $200 billion on ICE is a terrible idea

This current American presidential administration is run by people who are quite obviously mentally ill, and we need to start talking about that.

MAGA thinks the majority will sit there and just accept masked, armed ICE agents to continue terrorizing their streets.

They are wrong.

Dangerous, desperate overreach by a weakened Administration.

One first step people should do to respond to this is start using the “report a speed trap” function in Apple Maps to report where ICE is operating. Make Apple party to the attempt to protect people.

The men kneeling on this peaceful protester are not ICE. The reality is that the sheer number of people in a city like Chicago means that without the state assisting in its own occupation, these “operations” could not succeed. Which certainly begs the question of who serves whom.
