Anxiety crazy high, brain at 76,000rpm. Need more distraction. I sleep under 2 32-lb blankets, work more than FT, am a 1/2-time grad student, write prolifically (more than 170 poems out in 2025+1 book & 2 chaps, 2 books out in 2026, 1 in 2027). Maybe I'll learn Irish? I need a grippysock vacation.

As I said in the past, states don't control fed taxes. But maybe it's time to start thinking of creative structures that will give states some leverage on the matter.
at some point we're gonna have to have a real conversation about why we're still paying federal taxes to a regime that isn't using them to help anyone, but instead is using them to brutalize us

More contemporary poetry should be read as standard curriculum in K-12. In my entire high school career in the honors track the only poetry we received was the original Shakespeare. There is so much more out there that students could connect to!
