I love that so many of my trans sisters can wrest joy from a world that wants us dead. But when I see that most of y’all are never masked up in group photos, it tells me that your joy trumps my safety; and that I’m supposed to either accept that, or forever stand on the outside looking in.
I am begging trans people to start masking again and for the disabled people who have stopped masking in this ongoing pandemic to start again. Yall are hurting all of us.

You see more trans women in online spaces specifically because we have been forced out of every other venue.
We have to build our own networks online where the tools to build a platform are slightly more accessible than the ones held by traditional media gatekeepers.
