I have complicated feelings about the HP fandom in fan-specific spaces and unfortunately most people online aren't interested in the nuance that conversation requires, but I *can* say easily and definitively that NO ONE should be spending a fucking penny on HP stuff. PLEASE don't watch the show +
Hey yall not what I wanted to do on my birthday but let it be clear

"Death of the artist" is all well & good but you cannot Seperate the art from the artist when the artist is still alive, a terf & every penny they recieve reinforces their beliefs & is used to actively harm Trans folks!

'Harry Potter' author J.K. Rowling says 'a ton' of fans are 'still with me' after trans remarks

There is a post circulating on Bluesky encouraging the moving of a frozen turkey straight into a pot of hot oil. We are combating this misinformation the best way we know how - through the power of dance music.

divorced!Hermione, xmas fluff and slight angst

“Mum! Can we get this one?”

Rose, her twelve year old daughter, pointed to a well rounded, nearly eight foot fir tree that reminded Hermione of the exact ones Ron used to pick out.

Like father, like daughter apparently.

„Quiet, Piggy!“ Just think about that for a minute, and what it means to live in a time when a President can assault a woman in public like that without any consequences.
It‘s quite a testimony to the age of regression we live in.

Day 23: Achilles

There are plenty of different interpretations of the relationship between Achilles and Patroclus in the Iliad. They've been portrayed as brothers, best friends and lovers throughout the years, and while we'll never collectively agree, it's undeniable that they've become queer icons

I was so excited to run today, but my knee is telling me no. So now I'm scared that missing this long run will totally derail my training. I know I'll get back to my intervals on Monday and it will be fine, but I'm still scared. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Day 17: binder

A binder is an article of clothing usually worn underneath other clothes to conceal or reduce the size of the wearer's breasts. Earlier versions of it throughout history were made out of gauze or tape, which often caused bruising and breathing issues

Day 18: glitter

From performances, to protests, to drag, glitter has become almost synonymous with the community. Let it be a reminder that no matter how small we feel, together, we can sparkle and make anything beautiful <3

Day 19: bowtie

Much like carabiners, bowties are more than a fashion accessory. Lesbians and gay men alike have worn them throughout history as a way to protest against the expectations of gender expression, so it's become a symbol of pride and resistance to the community.

Day 20: scars

The queer experience goes hand in hand with the collection of scars, both emotional and physical. We can choose to see them as a symbol of the pain we've been through or a reminder of the freedom that we've earned as a result of the battles fought, but they'll always be with us.

Day 21: they were roommates

From Vine to historical documents, queer couples have been hidden under the simple label "roommates" for centuries. Sometimes for safety, sometimes out of ignorance and homophobia, sometimes for comedic effect. It's an easy way to hide the truth without lying.

It’s widely known (and, I think, pretty uncontroversial) that learning requires effort — specifically, if you don’t have to work at getting the knowledge, it won’t stick.

Even if an LLM could be trusted to give you correct information 100% of the time, it would be an inferior method of learning it.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

It is Trans Day of Remembrance 🏳️‍⚧️

To the trans folks in this community and everywhere: you are seen, heard, and loved.

Trans people are not an ideology, not an agenda. They are just people, and they deserve to live with dignity and without fear.

We remember those taken from us by violence, by our own hands, or the hands of those who are supposed to love and protect us. And we fight like hell in their memory, knowing that next year, our own names could be on that list.
