5 years ago, there was a bloody, lawless, and deadly attack on our nation’s Capitol. A group of criminal thugs broke out in riots and stormed our Capitol in an attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair election at the direction of the President of the United States.

Just heard the interview on @channel4news.bsky.social with Keir Starmer about the Trump regime action in Venezuela. He didn't stop the obfuscation and waffle. It was embarrassing

As of this week, millions of Americans are now paying thousands more for health insurance.

If the President and Congressional GOP think Washington has the capacity to "run" Venezuela right now, why won't they fix the insurance cost crisis they've created here at home?

Has anyone else watched the Netflix documentary 'Turning Point - the Vietnam War '? It's excellent. Very moving. And I just put on a CD of 80s classics and what started playing?

I think the key is a substantial increase in the State Pension and, as you suggest, a massive council house building project. The cost could be funded by a total overhaul of the tax system including council tax. And by not funding wars. Oh yes and dropping HS2.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm fortunate in that at 64, I live in a housing association home. I know that the waiting lists are enormous. The Guardian article didn't surprise me as I sent an FOI request to my council and saw that the largest age group on the waiting list were over 50s
