Exactly as I said — dare I say "predicted"? — Steve Morgan announced his BS ✌️predictions✌️ re: "the global cost of cybercrime" for 2026 through 2031!

Strap in, because this 🧵 is a Crazy Taxi ride. Morgan says we'll have lost a QUADRILLION dollars roughly 75 years from now! 😵‍💫
He should've joined CISA

Historically, White House Cyberspace Security Advisor Richard A. Clarke expressed his ✌️opinion✌️ that cyber-terrorists e.g. Junaid Hussain deserve neither due process nor the right to remain silent under the 5th & 14th Amendments 📜
Phang: It is a fundamental premise of the law that there is no requirement that a criminal defendant be forced to testify to explain away the government’s evidence. Hallagan went to law school and knows better, but she’s so stupid that she made that misstatement of the law to the grand jury.

My "OG" readers will recall the repeated global hysteria in #cybersecurity that evaporated immediately: the 1992 Michelangelo Virus, the 1996 Hare Virus, the 1999 Melissa Virus. Oh! And let's not forget Chernobyl, ILOVEYOU, and of course all those 200,000 #Y2K viruses 🙄

43 years I've suffered with explosive diarrhea and only now can I view it as a military-grade weapon that merits a felony charge for what I did seven years ago to the woman on my left who rode the train to Hogwarts in Orlando 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.

"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

"It looks like a little bit is coming out towards the bottom," Lairmore replies.

With Teen Vogue shuttered, Wired magazine is now one of the only truthful hard news outfits still running. Ain’t that some 2025 shit.

Well worth your subscription
New: The FBI is quietly urging ICE agents to properly ID themselves in the field.

In a bulletin to law enforcement last month, it warned of criminals posing as ICE to rob, rape, kidnap—a problem it says now demands national coordination to confront.

FBI Warns of Criminals Posing as ICE, Urges Agents to ID Themselves
In a bulletin to law enforcement agencies, the FBI said criminal impersonators are exploiting ICE’s image and urged nationwide coordination to distinguish real operations from fakes.

Historically, we in the #antivirus industry would've invoked the #InsurrectionAct over this cybertrocity because white-hat experts are never a valid target for attack under any circumstance blah blah blah…
New: hackers just doxed hundreds of DHS, ICE, FBI, and DOJ officials. I went through the data. In many cases does look legitimate, sometimes includes residential addresses.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying but this wasn't state vs. state spying, rather it was a state spying on an organization of which it was a member - and doing a bad job of it, straight out of the old soviet playbook. That just strikes me as out of the ordinary.
