I am speechless. This is truly amazing news in Texas. Great job, everybody. This is step one. 🥹
Texas Democrats just did something historic under the leadership of new state party chair @kendallscudder.bsky.social. We have filed a candidate in EVERY 2026 race.

U.S. Senate: 1 of 1
U.S. House: 38 of 38
State Senate: 15 of 15
State House: 150 of 150
State Board of Education: 8 of 8
We Did It, Texas Dems, We Did It
Candidates in every legislative, statewide, and federal race. Now it’s time to build power where it counts.

Folks might not know a lot of people are getting *very* upset that the materials they request are not available in the libraries/archives they're requesting from.

We're getting lots here at the Library of Virginia: requests of documents likely surfaced by large language models that *do not exist*.

The Sixth Window. The Feast of Saint Nicholas. Well-wrapped up in an enormous rose-coloured muffler, carrying a sturdy wicker basket in paw, Babcia had taken the early bus into Dorchester to do some Christmas shopping on her own.

Y'all know what kind of dumb shit answers you need to write down to be in that audience. Do it.
Bari Weiss has a CBS town hall set with Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk.

If you want to attend, you're asked a series of questions on an online form.

The first question is: “Do you consider yourself a conservative? If so, why?”

4 Dec: Old lore tells that when Mary gave birth, the stable was bitterly cold. With no dry logs, a shepherd cut fresh ash wood. Green wood should not burn, yet the logs blazed. Folk say that’s why ash, however green, still burns brightly, and brings us welcome warmth to this day.

In America, we don’t let cashiers sit. It’s the dumbest thing in the world. And this is an issue in all kinds of retail shops/grocery stores where people should be able to sit while they do some parts of their job. If being able to sit was just normal, I would still be working.

I already responded to this once, but another point that I think is just so important for currently abled folks to understand is that if something needs to be changed so that disabled people can use it, it wasn't made correctly from the beginning. Universal access isn't just for physical structures.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.
