Yesterday I was casually looking around the files and found an email to JE from Soon-Yi Previn, Woody Allen's wife, where she said she found it disgusting that Andrew Weiner's 15 year old victim was publicly accusing him and ruining his life. These people are awful.
My favorite genre of Epstein emails are powerful people emailing WITH JEFFREY EPSTEIN about how MeToo has gone too far and the woke mob must be stopped.

So the guy who argued with a Black lawyer/journalist bc she said putting your name on a protest list is bad opsec. Got kicked out of ICE Rapid Response for... bad opsec. And he's confused about it.

There was a case in Upstate NY two(?) yrs ago a o-d VT deputy was in a bar fight. Local PD found him with gun drawn, shouted commands to drop it for a good 10-20 secs. He did not. They fired. Deputy lived. Later said he never heard them. If a trained LEO can't act perfectly in hightened situation..
This is sort of a throughline in cases of excessive force used by law enforcement. The civilian is supposed to perfectly adhere to some unwritten code of conduct; the armed professional supposedly trained for such situations is only human & must be given lattitude if they succumb to fear and rage.
The administration is insisting that its masked goons are so emotionally stunted that words can launch them into a murderous rage.

"Our professionals are just ordinary people so ordinary people better act professionally around them, or else."

There are no more than like 12 ICE agents assigned to my county that we've been able to document. There are 6 different polling sites in my city ALONE, not to mention the rest of the county. I'm sorry, what are you talking about?
This giant ICE Army they are building this year is also likely to be at polling places during the midterms in heavily Democratic precincts with the excuse being that they are looking for “illegals trying to vote.”

I dress to match my own perception of myself in my head that day, and then when people comment on my outfit I freeze like a rabbit spotted in a hedgerow, because I do not wish to be perceived, actually.
I don’t dress for men; I dress so I can twirl and say to other women “it has POCKETS”
What to swap them for??

How about swapping them for a FUCK OFF

*incoherent screaming*
Two women trained as first responders were abducted by three ICE agents. One of the agents starts seizing. The other two don’t know what to do. The women jump into action and save the agent’s life, only to be re-handcuffed and processed.

Detained by ICE, two women became first responders during agent’s seizure
The women say they guided agents through the emergency, later raising concerns about medical protocols, weapons safety and accountability.

Transphobia is a cancer of the heart and mind.

It is a useless fear, based on ignorance and cruelty.

Trans people are not responsible for a single one of the problems we face.

Do the world a favor and grow the fuck up.

U.S. in a battle royale with all these right now

Let's punish those living in the U.S. with higher prices because Europe doesn't want us to take over Greenland? Truly, 4-D chess. Just, slow clap, everyone.

This continues to be the language of abusers. "Look what you made me do." "If you wouldn't talk like that, I wouldn't get so mad."
Rep. Randy Fine: "Jacob Frey is fomenting a second civil war ... for Democrat politicians to take the side of foreigners over American is treason. Jacob Frey should be arrested ... now there are two people who have been shut justifiably because of the rhetoric of Democrats."

I hope Tesla's sentinel mode records sound, because I just informed an incorrectly parked Tesla that "this is not a PARKING SPACE. This is a SIDEWALK."

"Get civil" to them means "shut up and take it." It means "if you speak up for your own rights, you're being UNcivil." This is the language of abusers.
Rep. Roger Williams: "People need to quit demonstrating, quit yelling at law enforcement, challenging law enforcement, and begin to get civil."

Having 3 Drs appointments, 2 library programs, and PMS the first week I'm back to 100% after having the flu is just the unfortunate, mostly out-of-my-control confluence that just really sucks and there isn't much I can do about.

Working at a deli, cut my finger on a bagel. Not the bagel knife, the edge of the bagel. Didn't realize it went into my skin at first. Finished buttering it, wrapped it for the customer, took glove off and squeezed my finger. When blood came out I snatched the bagel back yelling "don't eat that!"
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

I was once Very Wrong on the Internet, and among the snark one person very calmly explained why I was wrong, and changed my life. And now, unfortunately, that has made me one of those people who feels like I Must Say Something when someone is Wrong on the Internet, bc if it worked for me...

Can't wait until the library late fee fans who scream "just return your books on time, it's not hard!!" find out I'm a librarian who wouldn't use the library before I got my FT library job bc I could never remember to return my books on time while working 3PT jobs, and didn't want to accrue fines.

Seriously, this administration can cover up the Epstein files and bury the victims WHILE ALSO destroying the lives of lots of other people and the foundations of our US government. They can do all that at once. On purpose. With intent. We don't have to ignore one crime for another.
If you tell me that this is a distraction from the Epstein files I will block you into last week.

For fuck's sake, people in other countries are actual human beings who do not deserve to be murdered. They are deserving of our attention and care. Their violent deaths should not be on our hands.

Some professional things I'd like to do in 2026:
•submit a proposal for a NYLA program
•get my bestseller ordering back into a good flow, where it hasn't been since we broke up with McNs and B&T went kaput
•Local History Fair 2.0: now with more History
