Two things that Elon #Musk revealed. Not just the Nazi salute, but he also said (at the pre-inauguration rally) that the foundation that the #Trump administration is setting will last for centuries.

Fantastic work by Diane Wilson. One woman taking on Big Oil.

As Big Fossil faces diminished markets in energy as they lose to renewables, instead of really embracing alternatives or closing shop they ramp up other applications for coal, oil and gas. Plastics.

Whether they realize it or not, all these CEOs getting in bed with Trump for short-term benefit to exploit his transactional corruption are self-inflicting long-term reputational damage to themselves personally and their brands. The stink of Trump never washes off.

Yup. Barack is part of the same damn problem.

Its kabouki theater haha.

How fun
"The first evidence that no change would be forthcoming came during Obama’s first campaign, when he announced, “we need to look forward as opposed to looking backwards” and allow impunity for war crimes, including abduction, torture, and murder of civilians and declaration of an illegal war." #3E

My NSPM-7 coverage has for weeks been met with smug assurances that there's no law for domestic terrorism. Well, the Trump admin just designated Antifa groups as Foreign Terror Orgs - for which there is a law:

Move cites NSPM-7, saying four European Antifa groups espoused "anti-Christianity," "anti-capitalism," and "anti-Americanism"

Spanberger and Sherrill did attack Trump frontally, including on things like his ballroom, but I agree with @brianbeutler.bsky.social that Dems absolutely can't conclude that affordability is his primary vulnerability. The lawbreaking and corruption matter too!

Democrats Become High On Their Own "Affordability" Supply
Hit Trump wherever he's weak, but don't subordinate all other politics to sticker prices, letting him off the hook for most of the reasons voters hate him.

Why are elections so close, especially in the face of growing political polarization, that the pendulum can so easily swing back and forth? There is some social randomizing factor that sociologists, political and data scientists need to uncover to understand. This is required to make social progress

He spent Biden’s entire presidency calling him ‘Sleepy Joe’. Still does. But this guy nods off in the middle of the day in meetings almost every day. Fell asleep in court all the time too.

It's funny that the protatalist and dysgenics movements worry about stupid people overwhelming the elites like in the movie "Idiocracy" when the world is achieving it without generations of breeding. The spread of post-truth, profit-driven, exploitation of consumerism will get us there sooner.

Why isn't MAGA a Party, like the Tea Party? Why didn't Never Trumper Republicans force MAGA into a separate party?

Corporate Democrats will do well in the 2026 election because Trump is so bad, not because Democrats are doing well.

Schumer and Jeffries sent another letter to Trump. You can see that they are continuing to keep a low profile, waiting for the 2026 election.

Dems: When they go low, we lay low.

The Republicorp Party push for more Americans into poverty is because the corporate overlords need a low-wage workforce. Overseas laborers are moving into the middle class so more Americans need to be moved into the lower class.

Marco Rubio should be considered to be a DREAMer, subject to DACA. The hypocrisy is unbelievable. Will JD advocate for the elimination of birthright citizenship in order to eliminate Rubio as competition in the race to succeed Trump?

The House progressive caucus should abandon the Democratic Party and declare themselves Democratic Socialists, creating a new party. The Dems are not changing their corporate ways. There needs to be a party that is an alternative to the two corporate parties. Link arms with Mamdani and move forward.

The best counter example to compute concentration in #AI datacenters is SETI@home, crowdsourced idle CPUs. There is no deadline for human progress. Humanity is another example of distributed computing. Humanity can move at humanity's speed. There's no need for superhuman progress.

The circular jerk economy of #AI is what you get when business majors are first exposed to the concept of extrapolation and drop out to start their first company before next week's class of the risks of making decisions based upon extrapolation.

Talk about the problem of nuclear waste... What do you do with the hardware in the #AI datacenters when it is obsolete in a year? And the year after that?
November 2, 2025 at 1:41 PM
#AI datacenters are the new indoor shopping malls. Everything you could want under one roof. You don't have to experience the real weather outside.

Been to an indoor mall recently? A lot of empty space, if it hasn't already been demolished to make way for something else.
