Dear America (esp. the media)

The correct grammar is *DEMOCRATIC* Party

Shortening Democratic Party/Candidate/Senator/etc to "Democrat Party," etc is a McCarthy Era slur to "emphasize the rat in Democrat"

It's being used by the right as a means to demonize & insult Democrats

NEVER normalize it
Driving with illegal, unregistered, or fake plate is a crime

Arrest them & impound the vehicles like you would for anyone else

Stop letting them break any law they please while fretting that they're breaking laws with impunity
Also obviously a very Nazi thing to do because Nazis did this
Legal observers and officials say they have received a growing number of reports of agents impersonating construction workers, delivery drivers and anti-ICE activists, heightening fears in the state

Ten years ago today, #SCOTUS issued five unsigned and unexplained 5-4 rulings granting emergency applications to block President Obama’s Clean Power Plan—a completely unprecedented move that helped to usher in the Court’s modern … (mis)adventures … with its shadow docket.

Me in today’s “One First”:
209. The Modern Emergency Docket Turns Ten
The February 2016 rulings blocking the Clean Power Plan were unprecedented; in retrospect, they were harbingers of a paradigm shift in the Supreme Court's role.

Massie on Howard Lutnick: "He should just resign. Three people in Great Britain resigned for less than what we've seen Howard Lutnick lie about. He clearly went to the island, if we believe what's in these files. He was in business with Jeffrey Epstein."

Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.

He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

For reference, his name comes up more often in the Epstein Files than Harry Potter's name does in the Harry Potter novels.

Libertarians are so full of shit

They rolled out the red carpet for this guy, cheered on DOGE cuts, spent their whole lives begging for his tax cuts, praised the stock market his entire 1st term, and NOW they're pretending like they never liked him

Exactly what crime did this 18-month-old commit?

Being born?

Pretty sure she didn't voluntarily walk across any borders or purchase a bus or plane ticket

Worst of the worst my ass

Trump finally accepts ownership of the current economy.

In an interview with NBC, Trump says the U.S. is experiencing the Trump economy.

"I'd say we're there now," he says. "I'm very proud of it."

Trump is polling at near-historic lows because of his handling of the economy.

According to the New Yorker, Donald Trump and his family profited off the presidency by an estimated $4 billion in 2025 — mostly through shady crypto deals.

That amounts to $456,621 per hour.

But how are you doing?

Freedom 250, the Trump-run group the NYT reports is offering big donors special access, has totally supplanted America250, the congressional org that had been organizing 250th events, as we reported last week .So Trump is turning 250th into a party for himself, with taxpayer $, but no oversight.

If ICE gets even one of these facilities fully up and running, it’ll immediately be the second-largest jail in the country behind only Rikers Island.
The proposed centers are so large that some could house as many as 8,000 detainees at once, according to a DHS spreadsheet of more than 20 potential locations that was verified by NBC News. The largest federal prison in the U.S., for example, has roughly 4,000 inmates.
ICE plans to build mega warehouses for immigration detention spark growing concern
Sources at two government contractors told NBC News they were worried that new warehouses — and the large numbers of immigrants who would be housed in them — would present safety problems.

I don't even understand his argument

She was literally dominating the sport, no one was even close to her in points this season, but she should've retired while she's kicking ass because....why exactly?

How many 40yr old men at the top of their game did he attack for not retiring this year?

Ah yes, telling 1 person is now "going around trying to get ppl to pay attention"

Someone had the predictable knee-jerk reaction of "of course white people stile credit from a black person" but in this case it's not actually true and you're mad that this 1 time it isn't actually true

HIS NAME IS ON THE FUCKING PATENT

How exactly is he not being given credit for what he actually invented when his name is on the patent

And the things that he invented are the process to bind carbon filament to a metal wire as well as more efficient means of making/mass producing filament
