The only "proof" for this claim is someone who looked at 72 hours of posts and said that 2/3rd of them were 9am - 5pm in Myanmar.
I think the simpler answer is a lot of ostensibly progressive individuals are looking for anything to assuage the guilt they feel for ignoring Palestinians. And racism.
