I believe pretty strongly that it is imperative that we dig our heels in on AI, not wait for the bubble to burst. I am so tired of watching it cook people’s brains. We need to insist that the purveyors, pushers and evangelists be held accountable for every lie, death, mental break, and “job lost”.

The thing that turned me off the usefulness of LLMs was simply requesting information on subjects that I’m an expert in. The results were impressive, but crucially flawed in ways that made the information feel largely untrustworthy and mostly useless.

Genuinely surprised I haven’t seen any pictures of the fascist robot dogs at any protests in the US. I always thought the only thing holding them back was how creepy and authoritarian their vibe was. Now that creepy/authoritarian is in vogue, I thought they’d be in the vanguard.
