And both are needed in an economy where the richest are rapidly sucking the rest of us dry.
The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

A weird aspect of being mixed race or ambiguously ethnic on the internet is that when fellow POC disagree with you, they downgrade you to a white person who must not understand their struggle instead of considering that a fellow POC might just have a slightly different view of the topic at hand.

Anyone paying attention to what has been shared by people on the ground knows how bad it is, and will not be surprised when more horror is revealed. Its unfortunate that the NYT contributed to misleading the American public about the horrific scope of this genocide instead of reporting honestly.

The absurdity of living in a country that demands we tie access to healthcare to our ability to work, but not that employers provide affordable health options to all employees, nor affordable transitional coverage after layoffs, and now wants to make it inaccessible to buy insurance on our own…

As the rare autistic person who has managed to hold on to long term employment, going through my first layoff 15 years into my career feels like a gut punch. And the severance offer is paltry for the job market im being let go into. Trying not to panic 😵💫

Anytime a think tank wants Dems to “downplay LGBTQ+ issues,” you gotta remember that Dems are already doing that, so the only place to go is zero. And that means the think tank believes a subset of our population doesn’t deserve representation or protection, and that’s explicitly undemocratic.
