I think the fact that Trump didn’t even bother to manufacture consent for this Venezuela takeover is a foreboding sign of things to come.

It reminds me of when Elon Musk flippantly wrote, “We will coup whoever we want! Deal with it.”

Except the president of the United States wields military power.

This platform is far from perfect, but I’ve never been on a social media app before that has had such kind and welcoming communities to join.

I’m glad more people from around the world are adopting Bsky — that means more people with unique perspectives to share on our common interests! c:
UPDATE: We may see the first time English is displaced as the most popular language among Bluesky posters as soon as Americans head to sleep tonight.

Japanese users were close to achieving that feat at 7 am Eastern Time, and their activity is increasing at an exponential pace. This is remarkable.

This is exactly why this guy — who had already harassed many of the people that were in the venue that night — should never have been allowed in.

There’s no way Geoff and co. need the ticket money from someone like him, and he’s putting attendees at risk of further harassment. Ban him.
SmashJT (the 5'1" racist gnome who was scammed by Tommy Tallarico, is currently being sued for harassment and was a seat filler at The Game Awards) is now trying to create a controversy that Erika Ishii shouldn't have had popcorn at the venue. I'm crying. This is hall monitor shit.

yeah the harsh reality is that we do take a chance on small games no one's heard of a lot more often than anyone thinks we do. but literally no one reads the articles, which then reinforces to the powers that be that they're not worth doing. I don't know how to solve that problem!

hate when I have a really bad tummy ache and then you Google “bad tummy ache help” and the search engine makes sure to tell you you’re going to die

Forget the content… the sentence structure and essay organization is pathetic enough to warrant a low score.

Hell, Fulnecky’s writing only contends with the assigned article like, half of the time (at most). She literally wrote an “in conclusion” graf. This is not college-level analysis.

I reviewed the latest Call of Duty game for CNET — and I’m still left scratching my head over who the intended audience is.

Black Ops 7 is a cynical product that looks and feels like one of those fake games a movie character would play.

Partner and I made the mistake of going to a movie theater inside of a mall for a cute day out on Black Friday. I didn’t realize shit still got this serious in the era of online retail.

Anyways, Rental Family is very good and Brendan Fraser is a gem as always.

This might be the first peaceful Thanksgiving I’ve had in a decade :)

I hope everyone is surrounding themselves with good people and making time to relax today!

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Modern American politics is like a roller coaster because this was less than a week ago and since then Senate Dems have actually consigned us to oblivion.
I didn’t get fired up over Mikie Sherrill but obviously I went out and voted and thank god Jack Ciattarelli didn’t win, man.

Cheers to NYC, though. That’s something to be excited about for real.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

It’s like if Ace Watkins, Gamer President, were actually stupid and evil and actually in power. It’s also like if Ace Watkins was riddled with dementia and he needed his Gamer Staffers to post this.

This is like musical GTA VI, or like, maybe more like “Bloodborne remake.” Legendary amounts of anticipation.

I just need more experimental bangers like Act II had, mainline them into my veins.

Like I totally get that we’re just knee-deep in fascism at this point but I still can’t help but feel a twinge of surprise every time this guy so blatantly and evilly misleads his cultists. He’s just lying through his teeth for the love of the game, man.
Trump tonight appears to have pushed the false "medbed" conspiracy theory, which has spread in the far-right internet over the years. www.yahoo.com/news/qanon-c...

“Keeping it in the gc” is by FAR the best advice, but I also sometimes love a spot of the ol’ “type out a message to vent my rage, stare at it for 5 seconds, take a deep breath, and delete the whole thing instead of posting.”
